Whakatāne January Touch Tournament: Stall Site Permit Expression of Interest Registration

With a great number of players, friends and whānau anticipated to attend the 2025 Whakatāne January Touch Tournament, we are on the hunt for some food stalls to satisfy this hungry crowd!

If you're interested in setting up a shop at our event, please read the following information. EOI registrations are considered on a first-in, first-served basis so get in quick!

PLEASE NOTE: The Whakatāne January Touch Tournament Stall Site Permit EOI Registration and Whakatāne District Council: Food Stall Permit are SEPARATE DOCUMENTS. The Whakatāne January Touch Tournament requires all applicants to have an updated Whakatāne District Council Food Stall Permit. Whakatāne January Touch Tournament holds all rights to accept or decline applications, NOT the Whakatāne District Council.

Please complete the online registration form if you would like to be considered for a Vendor Stall Site at our event.

Preferred Stall Site

As part of our online EOI registration form, we have allowed applicants to select their top three preferred site locations (maps provided in Section 3).

Please note that we cannot guarantee you will be allocated one of your preferred site locations, as various factors determine these appointments (e.g., separating stalls selling the same service/goods). However, we will try our best to accommodate your requests. We will notify vendors of their allocated sites once the Stall Site Permit process is completed.

Whakatāne District Council: Food Stall Permit - Vendor Requirements

Vendors selling/providing food must complete the Whakatāne District Council Food Permit Application (pdf copy below) and submit this to the Whakatāne District Council. The vendor owner/organiser is responsible for completing this application process. Without this permit, food stalls cannot be set up or sell at our event.

[Note: Whakatane District Council representatives will make random checks of Vendors throughout the duration of the event].

Please refer to their website for more information -> https://www.whakatane.govt.nz/events/selling-food-event

Once you have received your Food Stall Permit certificate, please upload a copy to the online registration application or email a copy to us at walker.mita@xtra.co.nz.

Vendors will be notified of their application outcome once we have :

  1. Received your Stall Site Permit EOI Registration (our online form)
  2. Received your Food Stall Permit Certificate (via Whakatane District Council, if applicable);

Successful vendors will receive an invoice, which will then need to be paid by the due date (presented on the invoice)
